Physical and Emotional Healing are guided by skilled hands using massage therapy and myofascial release. Our bodies are a miracle of creation and have the ability to heal from most illnesses and trauma. Stored Tension and Trauma can accumulate in our tissues creating pain, imbalance and impaired function. This could be from accidents, falls, poor posture, surgery and emotional trauma. Emotional, physical and sexual abuse also create hidden tension affecting the body. Soft tissue (fascia) contains connective tissue fibers have a "memory" that store physical or emotional tension. Myofascial release allows the tension to be released, bringing pain relief and better function. Since fascia connects throughout the body, often the pain or dysfunction may be n a different part of the body from the stored tension. Specific therapy releases tension and re-sets the tissue "memory," allowing your body to return to better function and comfort.
Massage and Physical Healing: Holistic healing is a balanced approach, integrating massage therapy and myofascial release for more effective body work that is longer lasting. Traditional Massage relaxes muscles relaxation, pain relief and stress reduction, bringing relaxation. This relief is only temporary if the soft tissue is holding tension and trauma. (Tension in soft tissue hardens the fascia creating a "cast-like" effect. The body quickly returns to its dysfunctional state.) Myofascial Release releases tension in the tissue around and within the muscles, allowing the muscles to remain in a relaxed and balanced state after the massage. Without relaxation of the fascia tissue, the body remains unbalanced and the pain quickly returns. Physical healing comes with lasting release of stored tension and relaxation of the soft tissues.
